BIRD Symposium: "When old meets new: the ever expanding IBD landscape"

    Dear colleague,

We are excited to let you know that the BIRD Symposium: "When old meets new: the ever expanding IBD landscape" will take place as planned, on Saturday September 19th at De Montil (Affligem).

The scientific programme as well as the confirmed faculty are now published on the website – have a look at it onwww.bird-symposium.be

The outbreak of COVID-19 forced the BIRD board to rewrite the Symposium plans for 2020, but despite the challenging times, we are determined to keep up the good standards in organizing networking opportunities and educational events!

We aim for a face-to-face symposium in September and look forward to welcome you in person, taking into account all necessary safety measurements.

However, in case a physical gathering would not be allowed in September, we have a digital back-up plan, to ensure that the BIRD Symposium will take place.

    Registrations are now open!

Secure your seat as soon as possible, as the meeting rooms have limited capacity. To benefit from the early bird rate, sign up before August 10.

In case the Symposium needs to be transformed to a digital event, all participants will receive a reimbursement of the live event registration fee.

This year, more than ever, we look forward to welcome you all at the BIRD Symposium. Let’s meet for an exciting day of science, networking and interaction!

    Best regards,

    Dr Filip Baert, BIRD President
